Meets each Thursdays each month from noon-4pm at the Arts Center, 4180 Highway 6 South, College Station, TX 77845. During the summer, when there are art camps going on, we meet in the homes of members. In March 2024, we had an exhibit at the Arts Center that was quite successful. Chapter History:
In the 1980’s Billie Ross Edwards moved to College Station, TX, and soon word was getting around that there was an avid rug hooker in the area. Billie taught classes in her home, had patterns and wool available, and soon there was a small group of rug hookers meeting regularly for classes. Eventually, the group started meeting twice a month and eventually once a week. The Aggieland Rug Artists chapter was formed in early 2006 and has had an active group, sometimes large and sometimes small, since then.
