The chapter currently has over 70 members spread throughout various groups and states. The most active being the Milton Library gatherings on the first and third Fridays of the month 10 am – 2 pm Dogwood Chapter/Northside Rug Hooking. Milton Library, 855 Mayfield Rd, Milton GA 30009. Chapter History
Our chapter history begins in 1973 as part of McGown Guild with 23 members. Our primary goal was to promote interest in rug hooking through meetings, speaking engagements, and demonstrations. In 1988 we dropped affiliation with the McGown group and joined ATHA. Our goals continue to be the same with added focus on bringing new members into the fold, and spreading the tradition of rug hooking. We meet as a guild twice a year for Hook-ins in Spring and Fall with vendors. We also provide opportunities to meet with our Dogwood Days gatherings…strictly socializing and hooking. Newcomers or experienced…ALL are welcome to join. The goal is to have connections of some sort every other month available to the guild.
